Determined to find a better way of caring for their horses, Mary Ida and her husband Wilbur Young establish W.F. Young. Their revolutionary first product, Absorbine® Veterinary Liniment, lays the foundation for generations of innovation to come.
Mary Ida Becomes President | 1928
Mary Ida Young takes over as W.F. Young’s first female president. She immediately gets to work commissioning studies to ensure product efficacy – paving the way for new products to enter the marketplace.
Shiny New Solutions | 1977
W.F. Young expands into grooming products, bringing ShowSheen® Hair Polish & Conditioner to market. It quickly becomes the world’s leading detangler and grooming aid.
Debut of Pet Care Products | 2014
Building on Mary Ida’s legacy of caring for horses, W.F. Young launches a line of high-quality pet care solutions, including grooming and flea & tick prevention products for dogs.
